More than 200 federal, state and private sector grants have been announced to help public safety agencies and local government respond to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 outbreak—including an $850 million federal program from BJA and a $100 million AFG supplemental fire grant.

Such funding will be essential in the coming months, as law enforcement, fire & EMS and other public safety agencies continue to face increased PPE needs, battle the effects of economic downturn and prepare for the next wave of the virus.

But the COVID-19 grants landscape is changing rapidly, and many agencies are struggling to keep up. We’ve compiled the most common COVID-19-related grants questions and in this session, grant experts Jerry Brant and Samantha Dorm provide insight and recommendations to help agencies secure grants for COVID-19 response.

You’ll learn:

  • How to identify the COVID-19 grants most promising for your agency
  • The difference between cost recovery funding and grants and when to pursue each
  • Unique characteristics of some COVID-19 grant programs and how that changes your application approach
